Returns Policy

Tanita Australia Online Return Policy

Please choose carefully. We do not provide refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision.

Tanita offer a five (5) year replacement warranty on goods that are faulty and are within the warranty period (proof of purchase is mandatory). For items that have been wrongly described, are different to the product purchased on the website, or don’t perform as advertised you can you can choose between a refund or exchange.

Warranty

Milner’s Pty Ltd is the sole Australian importer of Tanita branded products, and warrants to the original purchaser that all Tanita products purchased from an authorised stockist in Australia will be free from defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase.

Any product deemed faulty in terms of materials and/or workmanship that is returned to Milner’s or the original place of purchase within the warranty period (together with proof of purchase) will be replaced free of charge by Milner’s. Milner’s will bear any expenses associated with claiming the warranty, including postage costs associated with the return of the faulty product to Milner’s for inspection.

Exclusions

The warranty referred to above does not apply:

1. to any defect or failure attributable to accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, or non-adherence to the prescribed operating instructions on the part of the user, or to improper installation or connection to an inadequate or faulty power source;

2. if the product has been serviced or repaired by any party not expressly authorised by Milner’s to do so;

3. if any serial number has been removed or defaced;

4. if the product is used outside the mainland of Australia;

5. if the product is repossessed under any finance agreement.

Statutory Rights

The terms of the warranty set out herein are additional to, and in no way limit, vary or exclude any rights conferred by any conditions or warranties imposed by the provisions of the Trade Practices Act, 1974, and/or any similar fair trade legislation of any state in Australia. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
